Hurricane FLORENCE Update # 3

While we are not expected more thanthe following, We must remain Diligent
and continue to stay abreast of the storm.

Hot off the Press. The following is a excerpt from Our EOC Division Chief
Al Jeffery III as of 1200 14092018:

*Notes from Statewide Weather Call:*

*The storm is tracking south along the coast of North and South Carolina at
about 3-5mph and will eventually turn in westerly direction inland.
Maryland could expect to receive impacts from the remnants Monday and
Tuesday Next week and will bring rain showers, possible heavy at times with
slight chance of thunderstorms. We are currently under a Coastal Flood
Watch along the Western Shore of the Bay with expected +1' to +3' of normal
high tides and these will last for the next 3 to 4 tide cycles over the
weekend. We can expect rain the remainder of the day which could be heavy
at times but there is little chance of any tropical storm force winds.*

*We have Weather calls scheduled through the weekend and into net week and
we will update all after those calls.*

*We do not anticipate activating the EOC past EM Staff monitoring in
conjunction with Emergency Communications overnight.*

*While the impacts from Florence to Calvert have greatly diminished I still
encourage everyone to be vigilant and aware of the weather in the instance
conditions change.*

*There will be a 1400 conference call, after that I will update once more.
