[CALV-AUXCOMM] New ICS-213 Template for Winlink Express and Time to Update the Telephone Tree

The WL2K folks have released a new ICS-213 message template for Winlink Express.  It should automatically download when you open your Winlink Express program.   I've posted the details on our web site, https://auxcomm.k3cal.org/


For those with Winlink capability, we're going to practice sending and receiving ICS-213 test messages over the next few weeks.  Just click on Message and New Message.  When the message window opens, click on Select Template and dig down to ICS-USA Forms and select the ICS213_Initial.txt template.  That will open your web browser with a blank ICS-213 form.   Fill it out and click Submit.  Then go back to Winlink Express and address the new message as you normally word for a Winlink message.  Post to outbox and send by either radio means or Telnet.


You'll note when you look at Outbox that the message has an attachment.  That's the html ICS-213 form.  The body of the message is the text that was entered into the form.  The recipient of the message can click on the attachment and see the ICS-213 in their web browser in the same format as a FEMA ICS-213.


Also, it's time to check and update our telephone tree.  You must be logged in to https://auxcomm.k3cal.org/ to see the telephone tree selection at the top bar on the page. 


Note:  If you have a cell phone listed AND wish for call-up notification via text message, please give me your cell provider (Verizon, AT&T, etc).


OBTW... we had six AUXCOMM attendees at our meeting last night.  While that's good, it could be better.  I encourage you to get more involved and support your local AUXCOMM.
