I'm sure everyone's been following the forecast track of Hermine[0].  As of
0500 this morning Hermine has been downgraded to a tropical storm and is
crossing into Georgia.  The current forecast keeps Hermine well off the
coast of Maryland once it exits North Carolina near Nags Head.

With the exception of the Eastern Shore, there are no watches or warnings
posted for Maryland at this time.  There is a 20-30% probability of tropical
storm force winds over Calvert County during the next 120 hours (5 days)[1].
If Hermine stays on the the projected course we should also avoid any
serious rainfall[2].  We are, however, still within the error zone and
Hermine could decide to slip back west and come for a visit.  To me, the
greatest threat will come from on-shore winds pushing water onto our
beaches.  The last forecast I saw projected a less-than-two foot surge which
could cause problems for low lying areas that are prone to tidal flooding
(e.g. Solomons).

All-in-all, I think we're going to be okay.

Please provide your availability to the list (you can just reply to this
message),  no later than 10AM Saturday, and state whether or not you are
deployable within the county, within the state, or just available from home.
