All,

Latest predictions have Matthew turning sharply east and out to sea around the Carolina's with a diminished likelyhood of impact to our area. Models are not in good agreement so this could change, but looks like we might dodge this one.

.LONG TERM /SATURDAY THROUGH TUESDAY/...Hurricane Matthew will be in
vicinity of the FL/GA/SC coast Saturday. An upper level trough
will be moving across the Great Lakes and height falls will
continue across the Mid-Atlantic region Saturday. A surface cold
front is expected to move across the region Saturday although
exact timing is still questionable. Showers are possible with the
frontal passage. As the trough and surface front move eastward
Saturday into Sunday they will aide in directing Matthew to the
east and off of the southeast U.S. coastline. Uncertainty
increases as Matthew starts to track east-northeast and away from
the coast into Sunday. At this time...coastal areas of the Mid-
Atlantic have the best chance to see affects from Matthew.

Please consult the National Hurricane Center for the most up to date
forecasts regarding Hurricane Matthew.
