I call those "plastic Barbie and Ken radios."
Also- most of the current crop aren't even radios
as we understand them.  They are computers
that just happen to connect to an antenna.

Once a ham puts a ceiling high rig into transmit
and experiences its continuous duty power, he
immediately knows there's no going back to all
that dinky table top plastic stuff.
