Ron, search for the VHT "Wrinkle Plus" paint cans at your local Canadian
Tire store.... (automobile department).

Hi Gary,

I'm a little younger than you, but I remember aerosol cans of crinkle
paint in various colours. It came as a surprise to me when I asked the
owner of the local hardware store about crinkle finish paint and he hadn't
heard of it.

This is risky, it could be experimented with before using on a good piece
of gear. I've had some success with aerosol paint and then while its still
wet heating it with gentle hot air from a heat gun. If you do find crinkle
paint somewhere I might not be the only one here who is interested in where
it is still available.

original, rather shiny, black crackle paint. When I was a novice, in 1960,
I recall having good luck with black crackle paint made by General Cement.
A search of the GC website indicates that they no longer manufacture any
such item.
