[Boatanchors] bakelite case - repairable?

[KA2PTE]

JB weld would definately work, 
it can be sanded down after it dries for a blended look....
and painted brown so it matches the bakelite color.

Most auto parts stores have it, or the paint dept at Home Desperate.
