The first thing to look at is if you get any grid current when peaking the
preselector knob in "tune" with full drive. If I remember right they reduce
the final screen voltage with a dropping resistor in the tune position.
If you can some grid current when peaking the preselector then you probably
have a problem in the final. If no grid current then look backwards to the
driver stages, mixers etc.
