I am reminded of the home brew articles in ham magazines of
the 1930s where pans of various sorts were used as chassis.
Simply put they were available and cheap where real chassis might
not be. Same for breadboard construction, pieces of lumber and
maybe actual bread boards being used. It was what was available.
Same for using tin cans. Your discovery is likely of value to
some of us who still like building things. Thank you.
