[Boatanchors] Johnson KW Matchbox - Problem with the "matching capacitor

    I have only one Matchbox, the smaller one. Assuming mine is 
typical the capacitors have a lot of drag. It would take a heavy 
weight indeed to pull them around. I think they are meant to have 
significant drag so as to stay in place. I described, perhaps 
badly, what I think provides the drag, an arrangement of a spring 
and clamp on the shaft. It appears to be adjustable but I only 
moved the nut a little. It may also affect the centering of the 
rotor.
    Its possible someone oiled it. If so, some cleaning solvent 
like Ronsonol or CRC Electronic Cleaner may clean the oil out and 
restore the drag.
