Rack height is measured in RU
One RU (rack unit) is 1.75 inches
Any standard sized rack mounted equipment will have a front panel height
as a multiple of 1 RU or 1.75 inches.
2 RU is 3.5 inches, 3 RU is 5.25 inches etc.
