Is it possible that it was made for a product and the number they put on it was the product manufacturer's part number?  I've seen a Thordarson transformer where that appeared to be what happened.

I checked a couple of references here, and could not find any Triad part
numbers beginning with "TP."

There was R-4A/B which were 500 volts C.T., at 40 mA, and 2 A at 6.3
volts.  "R" was the replacement line, the sort of thing you'd use in a
homebrew.  "A" got you vertical mounting with feet, and "B" horizontal
mounting in an appropriate hole.
