[Boatanchors] Unique Wire Tuner Problem

I have one of these neat random wire tuners that has a jammed turns counter for the rotary inductor.  The mechanism is rather rinky-dinky to say the least with a disc that is supposed to rotate with the shaft to advance the counter once per revolution.  This is the part that is binding up.

Does anybody know of a means to repair this or locate a replacement turns counter?
