Double sided duct tape is the cat's meow (as opposed to the other thread, other end of cat).
Its how I mounted $400 mirrors to my laser apparatus.

For your case (pun intended)  you can use double sided easier than single to pull the
glass to the front. Put two or three tiny pieces of double sided on the glass,
or the inner sufface of the case, and pull the glass up to get it stuck. Then use tiny 
dabs of glue to hold it permanently. I used a 5 minute quick set 2 component 
glue called Quik-Stik that's no longer sold by that name. But its available 
and good because it glues metal as well as glass and is transparent. It not actually
an epoxy.
