[Boatanchors] Heathkit HR-10B Receiver

I was just given a near mint HR-10B Novice receiver. This was my 1st receiver when I was first licensed in the early 1960s.

A few years ago I remember some mods for the HR-10 that corrected several problems. Among them was the use of some Zener diodes to stabilize the LO and possibly other stages. I don't remember where I saw them but need to take a serious look at doing this. Another mod entailed coupling the BFO into the AF amp to increase the BFO injection. There was also a mod (as I recall) that cured the need for reducing the RF gain control when receiving a signal.

Can someone point me in the right direction to find this info, please??
