[Boatanchors] WTB: Knightkit T-60 Transmitter

In today’s lousy propagation conditions, I have to agree that the Ranger is a bit PW for AM (but plenty of power for a lot of fun on CW)..  But back in the late 50’s and into the early 60’s, when even 15 was open all night,  you could work anything you could hear with that bit of power.  Times change, or course.

I still have an affinity for the Ranger — maybe because it’s what I lusted for as a kid, but couldn’t afford.    On the rare occasions I can find one that’s reasonably restorable and isn’t ridiculously overpriced,  it’s still a fun radio to play around with … :-)
