The HT-40 has some similarities with the T-60. But with the T-60 it's
hard to know where to begin. Look at George Grammer's review in May
1962 QST. T-60 was prone to parasitics; the layout on the chassis
lent itself to coupling from the final back around and oscillation,
and caused leads to be too long ... most Novice rigs were a lot less
trouble prone but the T50 could be tuned up on the 40 meter harmonic
if you were on 80 so you had to be careful about that. Under some
circumstances especially on 80 m. you could pull the crystal out on
the T-60 and it would go right on oscillating. The T-60 panel meter
is some sort of "relative output" meter if I remember right. I'd
rather have a plate current meter I can dip.
