[Boatanchors] replacing oil filled capacitor in Viking II ?

When I overhalued my 1964 built V II CDC that cap (Sangamo here) got real
warm after about 30 minutes. I replaced with a pair of 40 uF 450V
electrolytics in series with 100K 3W resistors across each of them. I used
what I had on hand for new caps and with the ckoke ahead of them all they
did was remove some extra ripple.

Still fine after close to 20 years

Carl
