I was once bitten by the screen voltage of a 25KW analog TV transmitter.
My boss said he was securing power.
I heard the breaker being turned off.
I failed step one of safety, check to see that the voltage os zero.
The fool turned off the backup transmitter, still had screen voltage.
Thank goodness for rubber soled shoes and only one hand in the equipment.
BTW. Get rid of the ring when working on equipment.
Get it across a high current source and it will get real hot real quick.
If tickled by a non lethal voltage to reaction to quickly withdraw your
hand my result in a missing finger if the ring get caught on something.
