It’s why I’ve always been a “serial collector”.  Buy something you’ve always wanted, or wanted in 1959 when you couldn’t afford it cutting grass in the summer, get it working, make it pretty, use it for a while, sell it.  Buy the next shiny object.   No storage space required.  No estate sale to worry about.  But lots of fun …

I do have two vintage receivers left.  They’re my all-time favorites.  Haven’t been able to bring myself to part with them — yet.  At least they’re not part of my retirement portfolio .. although I don’t think I’ll give them away even though I’ll never get back what I have in them.
