Hi Dale

Have you used the SPE expert in AM mode? How did it get along with the T4XB? I’m wondering if it’s possible to set a fixed ALC correctly for AM mode with a potentiometer and battery?

I have an SPE expert 1.3 K – FA and I’m wondering if there’s anyway to use it with newer rice box rigs or my BoatAnchors if they do not have an easy  way to tap into the ALC line?

year or so I have only been running it at 18W or so to drive my SPE Expert
amplifier.

The AC-4 has the upgrade  PCB and electrolytics and has been running off my
bucking supply at 110VAC. A beautiful set of teflon cables for transceiving
are included. Pix available
