[Boatanchors] EF Johnson Viking Valiant

I'm going over a factory built Valiant I with a band switch problem..
The band switch goes 3 detents past the counter clockwise 160m position.
It stops correctly on the clockwise 11 m position.

I consider myself an above average mechanic but do not see any physical
stud to stop past the 160m band switch position.
I wish I had an construction manual with photos to see if it is aligned
correctly.
Being a factory wired unit with no soldering indication the band switch was
ever replaced, I am perplexed.
