[Boatanchors] Silver plated copper wire.

Hi Randy,
I am not sure why you would want silver plated. Over such a short distance
it will make zero difference and only then if the plating were 3 skin depths
deep. Simple tin plated buss wire would be fine as would bare copper.
We purchase all of our wire from Remington Industries on-line. About 1/3 the
price of Belden.
You mention DC to daylight, but no dummy load with wires attached is going
to be very useful even into the upper VHF range. For that you want to
=design a 50 Ohm microstrip and use one of the 50 Ohm terminations from
Florida Labs etc:

The tab on the termination is the proper width for 50 Ohms on 1/16" 2X
sided G-10 PCB.

I'm looking for bare silver plated copper wire, like they use for coil
form inductors and such. I'm not having any luck on fleabay or
crimazon. All I can seem to find there is wire intended for arts and
crafts and jewelry. and I don't need a whole lot of it. Only a few
feet (if that) Is that good enough?

It's going to be the hookup wire for a 600 watt DC to light dummy
load. I don't want the hassle with enamel wire and having to clean the
enamel off on such short pieces. I figure around 16 or 18 ga will do.
I'd even settle for 12 if I had to but I think that's a bit of an
overkill. I thought I had some that I scrapped from an old broken
ceramic coil form, but to hell if I can find it.
