[Boatanchors] Drake 2B After Action Report

Good Evening All,

        Well I was able to spend a couple more hours on my friends 2B
project radio. Happy to report that all is well. Cleaned up the
Q-Multipiler, cleaned and lubed the controls, replaced the speaker wire.
Then back to the 2B, took off all the knobs, cleaned them and the front
panel, got the dial plate to slide freely. Then the last action item. The
pointer restring. After a false start, it is done. Have the radio on the
bench now, listening to 80 phone. I would like to thank all the list
members who respond to my posting and supplied me with some much needed
information. So if we get a break in the weather, I am going to put up a
long wire at my friend home so he can listen in while he studies for his
exam.  Again Thanks
