I don't know that fellow but I am glad he's clearing out his hoard.  I
think he'll be a lot happier afterwards.

I went to the Antique Radio Club of Illinois RadioFest today.  It's
focus is on tube consumer gear like audio amps and vintage broadcast
receivers, plus publications, tools, parts etc. but there is some
overlap with vintage ham.    They had an auction last night and got
around to some ham gear at 11 p.m. according to what I was told.
Perhaps because of the hour, it all went for next to nothing.  A very
very nice looking DX100 went to someone for $25.
