[Boatanchors] Sunspot Minimum

Oddly,

I keep reading these kinds of messages. Yet with my compromise station I keep working all continents and quite often contact new DXCC entities.

The ionosphere doesn’t really care when there are no sun spots. Signals still propagate. Just choose your frequency and time of operation wisely and you will make plenty of contacts.

Best regards - Bry Carling, AF4K

The decreased sunspot activity might produce more than bad band conditions....

THE CHILL OF SOLAR MINIMUM: The sun is entering a deep Solar Minimum,
and Earth's upper atmosphere is responding. Data from NASA's TIMED
satellite show that the thermosphere (the uppermost layer of air
around our planet) is cooling and shrinking, literally decreasing the
radius of the atmosphere. If current trends continue, the thermosphere
could set a Space Age record for cold in the months ahead. Visit
today's edition ofSpaceweather.com<http://ofSpaceweather.com> for the full story.

What about Global Warming?

Everybody fire up all your BA's for all of humanity.
