Here’s the best way to ship something valuable. Take it to a FedEx Office or UPS Store. Have them pack it. You can either have them ship it (billing the shipping to your account number) or get a receipt showing that they packed it, amkimg sure the receipt shows box dimensions, weight and to whom it is going.
Them if something happens they cannot weasel out claiming it wasn’t packed properly.
If you pack it yourself use sheet styrofoam that you get at Lowes or that other store. Find it in the insulation department.
