Back in I think the 1990s, there was an article in ER by a fellow in
Arkansas about how he restored his KW-1 to as near original condx as
possible.  He actually tracked down the Collins paint shop forman who
had been working there when the KW-1 cabinets were going through for
painting and that gentleman told him how they painted the cabinets and
where they purchased their paint.   I think all that information is in
the article, and the author contacted the company that supplied
Collins and was able to purchase the same formula and primer.  It
might have been by a fellow named Wheeler in the March 1991 ER, ER
#23.
