[Boatanchors] Always wanted a S-42 so it was time

Congrats on getting the SX-42! (you indicated it was a S-42 but I believe
it is really a SX-42, i.e. it has a crystal filter). I've also got one
lurking in my ham shack waiting for restoration. Looks nice - reading
between the lines (i.e. ..Unfortunately the seller turned it on ), I assume
that one or more of the electrolytics let out their smoke. Bummer. But
entirely predictable based on the age of the radio. Hayseed Hamfest has a
complete capacitor rebuild kit available by the way (about $55 USD - and
worth every penny of it). Let us know how the restoration effort goes.
