About carbon vs. metal film or metal oxide resistors: below say 10 MHZ, all are OK,
clearly, just remember that modern ones are smaller and thus near power rating
will get much hotter ... maybe use the same physical size instead of equal power rating.

But some new resistors are spiral cut, and thus inductors with much higher inductance
that a straight wire. At what frequency does it matter?
