I have one question about the mechanics of signing this (or any) petition. Text on the screen said that if you signed the petition, to validate that you were the actual signer, an email would be sent to the email address that you gave. And that the email would contain a link to click to validate.
I signed, and within a few seconds had an email. In it was a place to click, which I did. Nothing appeared to happen. Should there have been some response, maybe a note saying something like "Validated". Or maybe "thank you for signing"? When I hover the mouse pointer over the clickable area, I see what could be a valid url, followed by about four screen inches of ASCII characters.
