At least the rigs you're talking about have fuses! I just finished 
recapping an SX-111, and recapping/re-resistoring at National NC-125. 
Neither had a fuse protecting the power supply. The SX-111 has one that 
only protects the dampness resistor that stays on 24/7. They both have a 
main fuse now, along with 3 wire cords. Hard to figure why they'd save a 
few pennies and place a rig/operator in such potential peril.
