Hi Brian,
Maybe the Viking 1 or some of the first Viking 2s may have had that two-fuse plug,
but the one I have and the info with it shows a single chassis mounted fuse. (I
have a Challenger that does have the two-fuse plug). Still wonder why they put it
inside...maybe it saved .25c/ea in labor. I'm thinking abt mounting the fuse on
the back of the chassis. The weight of this thing continues to increase as I age.
Tnx for info on the ICLs from Mouser....I will ck them out.

Bill,
I have successfully used Amphenol inrush limiters from Mouser for a variety of units. I think the CL-60 or CL-70 would work okay for the Viking II. If am not mistaken, the transmitter came with a double fused (dangerous) plug which many, including me, replace with a three wire cord and, while doing this, put a fuse inside so as not to have to drill a hole in the rear panel.
