I have what appears to be a variable DC power supply.
It has a control panel connected to a chassis by a 14 pin connector and cable. The control panel (13" X 7.5") has two triplet meters (0 to 500 volts and 0 to 40 volts). There are connectors labeled as follows: 0-135 VAC, 6.3 VAC, 0-350 VDC, 135 V reg, 105 V reg, 0-30 V bias, -75 V reg, GND. Final row has a pilot lamp, two fuse holders and a power switch. The other end of the panel has two voltage adjustments: a Superior Electric Company Powerstat and a large knob controlling a high wattage 50k potentiometer with a scale of 0 to 50.
The chassis has a 5R4 rectifier, 0A3, 0B3, 6J5 (?) plus one more octal socket. It also has a large transformer and 4 other chokes or transformers along with two cap cans.
I am in the process of downsizing. I have only had this unit for a mere 30 years and never gotten around to it. It is uncleaned and rather heavy.
Excepting the one empty tube socket's tube, it appears to be all there and together, although I wouldn't bet the tubes are in the correct sockets. The one cap can is dangling by wires but elsewise looks to be as produced.
Anyone know what it really is? Anyone want it for shipping? It is in the gotta go stack. If it doesn't go, it will go to the dump.
Thanks,
Gerry
