You're lucky, Wayne. By the time I started listening to him, his show had been reduced to one hour.
The itinerary for my buddies and I was to cruise around listening to Shepherd and stop at the Stewart's root-beer stand for two cheeseburgers and a root beer ($1 even).

 As a kid, I used to listen to them at night when I was supposed to be asleep. I'd put my 6-transistor Trancel radio under the pillow & listen with an earphone.  It was heck trying not to laugh so loud that my parents would come to see what was up.
