Keith,

I'm not sure exactly what you want to do. But, I fear there is no
really easy answer. You can do a lot with the drawing functions in MS
Power Point, and there is the Open Office free equivalent. These allow
you to push objects and pieces of text around until they look
respectable. (I've always found the simple "DRAW" programs to be pretty
frustrating.)

I've used Corel Draw for a long time to do thongs like *THIS**.*

Or the dial scale _*HERE.*_

For instance: You can construct the graph on the first LAYER and lock
it. Plot your points on a second layer, and draw a line on the third
layer, and bend it of cross the points. Then set the second layer
showing the points to NOT PRINT.

Now, there will be an investment in time to get started up on one of
these "Verstor Graphics" packages, but for the kind of thing we do it's
worth learning to hack at such a program. Learn 4 or 5 functions, and
you'll be dangerous.

Good luck,
I'm not a graphic artist, but I do play one on TV.
Al
