[Boatanchors] Received my new radio-room clocks today

I used to buy the discount store brand alkaline batteries (made in
China) but quit it because they just didn't last.  There really is a
difference between them and name brand made in USA like DuraCell and
Eveready.  Not sure about RayOvac.  The Made in US are certainly more
expensive but they really do last a lot longer from my experience.
With the off-brand AAs I never knew--sometimes they'd run a clock for
only 3 or 4 months.
