Yes indeed however I am starting to see glass audio with pretty
porcelain plate grips now, so I think there are attempts to make them
palatable.

Jim, you probably have those tubes for the same reason I have a box of
around a dozen 6J5s.   At some hamfest some time in the years gone by,
someone had a lot of tubes they were willing to part with for a few
bucks and it seemed too good a deal to pass on.
