I agree with Al. Get a glass jug and put a bunch of connectors in it
and fill it with TarnX. Let it sit for 20 minutes or so. You may
need to agitate it a bit (shake the jar). do this outside because
TarnX is a little smelly. Pour the TarnX back into the jar because
you can re-use it a few times. Rinse the connectors in a sink and let
dry. Done. do this with successive batches until you have them
clean. They won't look new but they'll look a lot better and be quite
useable.
I lucked into around 10 old Amphenol silver panel mount UHF jacks a
few years ago at a quarter each and did this and they came out quite
well.
