I was told at one time Costco has a generator that had a Coleman name
on it that out out
12v, 24v, 115 @60hz and 115 @400 hz

my friend decided he wanted another one but Coleman disavowed making
it?
was it a china misuse of trademark?

In any event... if anyone know of one like this at a reasonable price
please tell!

Thanks in advance Ed Sharp archivist for SMECC

All,

Anyone considering one of these needs to carefully view the expanded
view of the data.

It is indeed rated @ 1000W, however, it very specifically states on it
that the power factor is 1.

Should this be used with "any" AC fan or motor, then this does de-rate
the output. Fans and motors on AC do not run at a power factor of 1!

Standard power production is always run at 0.8 for the power factor.

Fact of the matter is that generators "if" run into a leading power
factor will tear up the generator windings.

It would be a good read on AC power, and how power factor comes into play.

Just my $0.02 worth.
