Bob, Al Klase has sent a very interesting at least to me, on Milsurplus  a
document of military radios. If you scroll down to page 95 there is a photo
of an amplifier BC-605-A that is part of radio set SCR-538-A. It is mounted
on a FT-237-A. On page 78 there is a photo of what looks like the same amp
as part of radio set SCR-508. Although it says it is a development model.
Have you ever seen one of these?
On page 88 there is a photo of a SCR-511. In about 1948 my Dad brought home
a pair of these complete with the batteries. I can remember using them to
talk to each other and we were probably 1 tenth mile apart. We called them
pogo sticks. I have only seen one of them since at a hamfest and it was
pretty rough
A while back I had asked you about a FT-237 and you had said you thought
you had one with a coax connector in the warehouse but at the time it was
too hot to go in there. Has that become possible now?
