FS: Simpson Capacohmeter - cosmetically mint, electronically should have old
electrolytics replaced before using it (so I cut off the AC line).   $75

The Simpson 383A was designed for vacuum tube circuits to measure --- 1)
capacitance, 2) leakage resistance (DC) - includes 1000 megaohmeter, and 3)
AC pulse testing  to measure "in-circuit" capacitors such as coupling caps
between stages where there is no low resistance or low reactance component
in parallel to the cap being tested.  It uses a thyratron relaxation VFO to
generate a pulse test circuit. I wish I had this a few years ago when I was
chasing down bad mica coupling caps in my KWS-1.

 

This instrument generates HV pulsed AC and can kill you if you don't know
how to work with HV circuits.
