Hi All,
Last night I received as phone call from as friend whom I've done a fair
amount of work for, mostly SS Zenith TO's (he also bought my Royal 7000
sometime back).
He recently received a Drake SW-4 (not the more common 4A). The
previous owner recapped it etc, but DIDN'T align it (lack of test equip)
and said he thought it needed alignment. He wants me to do an
alignment, probably in Jan or Feb. No problem, I've been aligning radios
for over 60 years, and got past the "Golden Screwdriver-itus" stage a
long time ago. He DOES have the factory manual for it
I don't anticipate problems (worked on a couple R4 models years ago),
but WOULD appreciate any tips or special precautions to take on this one
(not familiar with the SW-4). Anything I should look out for, does it
have any quirks with the PTO that I seem to recall plagued some Drake gear??
