I am in the mountains of NC and don’t know of a music store, but found violin rosin on Amazon for near free.

Thanks all,

Preferably a music store that sells violins.

Rosin, any music store has it.

I had to restring the Kachina 1 6/10M rig I just bought (old cord was
broken). Although the tensioning seems good (the spring is stretched) , I am
still getting a bit of slipping. Was there a substance that was used to
increase the "stickiness" of the cord? I believe the issue is where the cord
wraps around the tuning shaft. The shaft has a V slot on it and not a lot
of surface area. Overall, the mechanism is similar to the Atlas mobile rigs
(from memory).

Tnx,
