If you really want to do this, it'll cost a bit over $200 nowadays. Get
a 32" LED TV at Walmart for $160 and add a $35 Raspberry Pi computer.
And when the band is dead you can surf the web or watch movies on your
"clock".
Google will show many world clock options for linux, if you like KDE

Hmmm...I have an extra Pi here....
But, take 1 minute and at least watch the video at the oficial Geochron
site, it may not convince you to spend $1695 but at least you will
appreciate that it was pretty cool technology for 1958:
