[Boatanchors] Y'all are right, the Harbor Fright Soldering gun is a piece...

When I was in the HVAC business, the only difference between a name brand
water heater with a 5 year warranty and a superior one with a 10 year
warranty was the serial plate. In fact sometimes we would be low on one type
and the manufacturer would allow us to swap plates.
In essence you bought 5 more years of warranty

Read their warranty statement. Like Glen says their stuff is either very
good or will break quickly. The warranty policy I read some time back says
replacement in 90 days or less, or you can purchase a longer warranty. You
be the judge, the longer warranty made the price equal to other places who
charge more for for the item.

Although I have not had an occasion to return an item, Harbor Freight does
have an excellent return policy.
