All,

The smaller Solid State transceivers are listed as meeting FCC Type B.

The Manual lists SSB as "Balanced" for modulation, FM as "Reactance",
then finally AM as "Low Level".

The TS-2000 is no bigger than a 40 CH CB!. It requires a 24A 13.8VDC
power source. It covers 160 through 10 mtrs, then they list it covering
6 mtrs through 432MHz, (or as they put it - 70cm!). The only portion
that "could" be in it would be the 23cm, (or 1.2 through 1.4GHz.), but
that module is not in mine and is no longer available.

The insides are all surface mount technology! This is why I went into
surface mount equipment! I will be hanged if I'll ever spend $75 an
hour for labor plus whatever the parts are.

I will continue to move with the technology. The Amplifier is still all
tube type.

Things are just getting lighter in terms of the SS portions.

I'm still hanging on to my HRO-50 and an SP-600 for receivers. Whether I
get to finishing restoration of the R-390A Blue Striper or not, I really
don't know yet. I'd like to.
