There are three different Teal Ducks in North America.

Blue Winged Teal, Green Winged Teal, and Cinnamon Teal.

Now it is interesting that gender doesn't always show the color of any
of them unless they happen to be in flight! Note the two predominantly
seen teal duck have the "WING" colored. (Notice the name?)

All three of them are pretty drab when on the surface of the water.

The only ducks that have very colored appearances even when sitting on
the surface appear to be Mallards, Wood Ducks, and a smattering of others.

I admit to having been a hunter for ducks, geese, pheasant, and deer.

I no longer participate due to the horde of idiots that are out there
with a hunting license and a firearm!

It took one season of hunting rabbit while wearing bright fluorescent
orange and having bird shot start striking me.

I got the fools attention! I asked him if I really looked like a dang bird?

Let's see, 6 feet tall, 54" chest, dressed in very bright colors, and
leaning upright along the side of a tree.

Would this remotely look like any bird in the U.S. that may be legal to
hunt?

I digress. I know about cracking the neck of every bird I've ever
hunted to ensure it was dead and not leave it in misery. I've rung
necks of chickens, plucked more feathers than I want to remember.

Then you singe the pin feathers as the last step before cooking in which
ever manner you desire.

Enjoy All! I'll be happy when the rain and wind finally goes away!
