Hello Brian, et al,
In lieu of going around in a sea of information not applicable to EMP
and the actual results from such, I would highly suggest a very narrow
search of *Starfish Prime*.
This is The prime example of EMP and the Electrical plus telephone failures.
Then one can intelligently discuss results of EMP.
Any concern of Amateur Radio Equipment will NOT be the core problem.
Obtaining the electrical power to operate radios *WILL* be the problem!
The entire populace will be left in the dark, and NO *group* will escape
this issue.
The core problem *WILL* be the replacement of major power distribution
transformers, and associated system wide repairs.
[One whom has participated in cleanup projects caused by Nuclear Weapons
Testing.]
