[Boatanchors] Question on Regen operation

Greetings All,
I have been playing with a regen receiver(Heath GR81). Being my first regen 
I wonder if the following actions are normal or if I should investigate 
further.
Receiver is much more sensitive on the higher end of each band. Adding 
tuning capacitance means more regen needed.
The set overall is very senitive on the highest 5-18 megs band, and quite a 
bit less sensitive on the BCB and VLF. It will go into regeneration across 
the whole spectrum, just less sensitivity generally as you go lower.
